For eight months, the construction crane at the Heuvelpoort car park stood prominently in the centre of Tilburg.
Every day, the crane operator would climb up to his cab in two stages, before being allowed to come back down at the end of the afternoon. The refurbishment of the Heuvelpoort car park is now at such an advanced stage that the 47-metre-high construction crane is no longer needed. On Monday 31 October 2016, the enormous crane was dismantled in less than 10 hours. This also marked the end of the beautiful view of the city from the crane.
