Everyone knows Hema
Hema stands for Hollandsche Eenheidsprijzenmaatschappij Amsterdam. The first branch opened its doors in 1926. Almost 100 years later, Hema can be found in virtually every town and in many villages too. What sets Hema apart is that all its products are sold under its own brand. New product ranges are regularly added, such as make-up products.
New shop
In Tilburg, Hema has been a familiar name on Heuvelstraat for many years. In 2017, the shop reopened following a major refurbishment. In fact, it was the chain’s first major Dutch branch to be refurbished in line with the international retail concept – featuring a completely revamped food concept. As part of this, the shop’s layout was changed and the upper floor was incorporated into the shop. There you will now find, amongst other things, a restaurant.
Parking at Hema in Tilburg
If you want to park near the Hema in Tilburg, there are very few on-street parking spaces available. Many spaces are reserved for permit holders. Heuvelstraat itself is a pedestrian zone. It’s a lovely place to shop. You can park your car near the Hema at the Heuvelpoort car park. Here, your car will be safe and centrally located, and you’ll never pay too much for parking.
