Films have been screened on Willem II-straat in Tilburg for a hundred years. Since 1983, the cinema has been called Cinecittà, a name associated with quality films and arthouse cinema in Tilburg and the surrounding area. The name refers to the famous film studio of the same name in Rome. Don’t expect blockbusters at Cinecitta; the cinema in Tilburg screens distinctive films – from all corners of the globe – for people who don’t follow the crowd.
Modern and classic
In May 2012, a major refurbishment began, which thoroughly revamped the classic interior. Since its reopening, the venue has featured, amongst other things, three modern cinema screens, a restaurant, a bar and a courtyard garden incorporating classic elements. You can now combine a visit to the cinema with a delicious meal or a bite to eat and a drink. Just like the selection of films, the range of food and drink on offer is also out of the ordinary. At Cinecitta, you can expect creative dishes – meat, fish, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free – made with wholesome ingredients.
Parking at Cinecitta
Anyone travelling to Cinecitta by car will soon realise that it is difficult to park right next to the cinema. The number of on-street parking spaces is very limited. Many spaces are reserved for permit holders only. What’s more, there are many one-way streets in Tilburg city centre. You should therefore avoid searching for a space whilst keeping one eye on the clock to make sure you’re not late for the film. It’s easier and cheaper to park at the Heuvelpoort car park.
In Tilburg city centre
The Heuvelpoort car park is situated in the heart of the city centre, right on the Heuvel. From the Heuvel, it’s a five-minute walk to Cinecitta. First, cross Pieter Vreedeplein and walk along Willem II-straat to the cinema. You’ll be there in no time!
Spacious parking spaces
Parking with us offers a number of advantages. For a start, there is more than enough space to park in our modern, eleven-storey car park. The entrance and exit are spacious. The parking spaces themselves are also very generous. We know how awkward it can be to have to manoeuvre a car back and forth a few times to park properly, so our spaces are perfectly suitable even for large family cars and vans.
Always open
The Heuvelpoort car park is always open. So there’s no need to worry if you’ve been to a late-night film. You can drive in and out of the car park 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We have round-the-clock security. The lighting has been specially chosen to prevent any dark corners. We believe it’s important that everyone feels at ease here.
Charged in six-minute increments
Payment is charged in six-minute increments, so there is no rounding up to the nearest quarter of an hour or half hour. Once you have paid, you can drive out at your leisure and continue your journey.
