The winter months are upon us and dusk falls early. Yet there’s still plenty to do in Tilburg. For instance, at the Huiskamer van Emma, you can take part in various workshops, enjoy the Dickens Choir and be amazed by a magician dressed as Father Christmas. You can also pick up those last-minute presents in the shops in the Emmapassage.
St Nicholas
At the end of November, Sinterklaas will be visiting the Emmapassage. This is your chance to shake hands with the saint between 1.00 pm and 5.00 pm. He’ll be bringing his band of Pieten with him, who will, of course, ensure a festive atmosphere. Do your children enjoy getting creative? Then do come along to the Emmapassage on Sunday. Between 2.00 pm and 5.00 pm, you can take part in the St Nicholas house painting workshop. That way, you’ll be fully prepared for the big St Nicholas celebrations on 5 December, and your children can enjoy all the activities in town.
Christmas
After 5 December, everyone naturally turns their attention to the next festive occasion: Christmas. You are also very welcome to visit the Emmapassage during this period for a range of activities. For example, you can take part in a Christmas workshop in early December. The second Saturday in December promises to be a lovely day, with various events on the programme. The Dickens Choir will provide a musical treat in the shopping arcade that day. You can also be entertained by the wandering magician dressed as Father Christmas. Or take part in the ‘Toys of Yesteryear’ workshop and create some wonderful pieces.
As you can see, there’s no chance of getting bored in Tilburg over the coming period. There are even more activities planned for the coming weeks; you’ll be able to read more about them later.
