For a whole year, the indoor shopping centre – the Emmapassage – was a building site. That all came to an end on 1 February. The shopping centre was, entirely dr-mario-marx-senologe.de transformed and reopened. Alongside this reopening, the first new shop also opened on Saturday: Gianotten Mutsaers bookshop. A well-known name in Tilburg.

Renovation of the Emmapassage in Tilburg

During the refurbishment works, the Emmapassage has become almost unrecognisable. The covered and enclosed passageway has, in fact, been replaced by a modern shopping street – without a roof. This transforms the passageway into a light, modern street, which adds significant value to Tilburg’s shopping centre.

The refurbished Gianotten Mutsaers bookshop

Gianotten Mutsaers Bookshop was the first shop to open in the arcade, at the same time as the Emmapassage itself. In this fully refurbished bookshop, you’ll find an extensive collection of books. Will you choose young adult fiction, literature, cookery books or a book from the second-hand corner? Whilst browsing through the books, why not take a short break at the shop’s lunch café? Here, you can, of course, enjoy the book you’ve chosen, along with a good cup of coffee and a fresh pastry, sandwich, soup or salad. In 2021, the lunch café will even be expanded to include a terrace!

Heading to the bookshop? Park at the Heuvelpoort car park

The refurbished Emmapassage connects to Heuvelstraat via Frederikstraat. In addition to Gianotten Mutsaers, many more high-quality shops and catering establishments will be added to the street in the near future. Are you coming to Tilburg by car to take a look at the refurbished Emmapassage and Gianotten Mutsaers bookshop? Then you can conveniently park your car nearby at the Heuvelpoort car park. This car park is situated on the Heuvel. From there, you can walk straight into Heuvelstraat and reach the arcade in a matter of seconds.
