That\u2019s when the annual Dragon Boat Festival will take place in Piushaven. Expect speed and spectacle during the boat races, but above all a great atmosphere in Tilburg\u2019s harbour area.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional public holiday in China. Historically, dragon boat races originated as a fertility ritual for the crops. These days, it\u2019s simply a very exciting sport \u2013 both to take part in and to watch. In Tilburg, the dragon boat races have been a lovely tradition for a few years now during the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.piushavendrakenbootfestival.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dragon Boat Festival<\/a> in Piushaven.<\/p>\n<p>This coming Sunday, dozens of dragon boats will once again take to the water in Tilburg. It promises to be a thrilling contest. Will you be there on Sunday to see for yourself which team is the very first to cross the finish line during the Dragon Boat Race? Or will you simply soak up the convivial atmosphere from one of the terraces in Piushaven? And are you coming by car? If so, please note that Piushaven itself is not accessible by car this weekend. It\u2019s just a few minutes\u2019 walk \u2013 right through the centre of Tilburg \u2013 to the Piushaven.
